Wilhelm Büchner University is Germany’s largest private university for technology – with more than 6,000 students. Founded in 1996, more than 300 students registered for the first course in computer science a year later. Today, Wilhelm Büchner University has four departments:

Wilhelm Büchner University of Applied Sciences received the DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 certification. The ISO 9001 certification, with its annual audits, demonstrates that the university’s quality management system and all processes meet the requirements of the standard as issued by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In 2011, Wilhelm Büchner University of Applied Sciences also obtained the new standard ISO 29990:2010, Learning services for non-formal education and training – basic requirements for service providers.
